This short clip is the famous announcer saying "Excellent" from Quake, delivered in a deep, punchy voice with sharp arcade energy. Even at under a second, it instantly reads as a reward cue, like the game is congratulating someone for a clean move, combo or back-to-back win. The sound lands fast and adds a classic arena-shooter feel, which is why people use it to make gameplay clips, jokes and reaction edits feel more triumphant and a little more old-school.

This sound is best known as one of the classic multiplayer announcer lines from Quake, especially the medal-style voice clips associated with Quake III Arena in 1999. It spread far beyond the game through frag movies, machinima, YouTube edits and short gaming memes.
