About this sound

GLaDOS shouts “Yeah, yeah, lemons” during Portal 2’s famous lemon rant sequence. Creators use the excited quote for chaotic agreement and reactions.

This short voice clip captures GLaDOS enthusiastically shouting about lemons during one of Portal 2’s funniest exchanges. Her sudden excitement follows Cave Johnson’s furious speech about refusing to make lemonade when life gives him lemons. The sharp delivery, rising energy, and absurd fixation make the line feel both supportive and completely unhinged. It works especially well when a character unexpectedly embraces a bad idea, joins someone else’s rant, or responds with far more enthusiasm than the situation deserves. The recognizable performance gives gaming edits an immediate burst of comic momentum.

The line comes from Portal 2, Valve’s 2011 puzzle game, and is delivered by GLaDOS during the sequence built around Cave Johnson’s memorable lemon rant. The scene became widely quoted among players because it combines Cave’s escalating anger with GLaDOS’s unusually passionate agreement. Short excerpts later circulated through gaming videos, reaction edits, soundboards, and meme compilations. The quote remains useful because its meaning is immediately readable as loud encouragement, while the unexplained emphasis on lemons adds a layer of absurdity.
