About this sound

The stretched Vladimir Putin walking meme sound, often paired with the Wide Putin video and used in edits for dramatic entrances, absurd reveals, and ironic hype.

This clip is the audio people associate with the Wide Putin meme, a joke edit where Vladimir Putin appears stretched extra wide while walking toward the camera. The sound gives the moment a strangely triumphant, marching energy that turns an ordinary walk into an overblown entrance. In short meme edits, it lands as both confident and ridiculous at the same time, which is why creators use it for fake power moves, sudden character reveals, and intentionally dramatic walk-ins.

Wide Putin is part of the broader wide walking meme format that spread heavily online around 2020. The meme centers on footage of Vladimir Putin walking, edited with a horizontal stretch effect so he appears unnaturally wide, then paired with energetic music for a mock-epic entrance. It circulated widely in reposts, short edits, and compilation videos because the visual transformation is simple, instantly readable, and easy to remix. Its staying power comes from how well it fits any scene that needs a ridiculous but confident walk-on.
