John Williams composed the music for Jurassic Park, Steven Spielberg’s 1993 film based on Michael Crichton’s novel. “Welcome to Jurassic Park” appears on the original motion picture soundtrack and develops the score’s celebrated theme of wonder and discovery. The melody became closely tied to images of dinosaurs, sweeping landscapes, and the park’s grand unveiling. Decades after the film’s release, creators still use the music in tributes, parodies, travel reveals, and nostalgic edits because its orchestral scale makes almost any entrance feel monumental.
