About this sound

A short, heavy thud meme sound used in Vine-style edits for falls, fails and abrupt impacts. People add it to clips to make awkward landings hit harder.

This clip is a very short, bassy thud that sounds like someone or something hitting the ground with sudden weight. It has the punchy, exaggerated feel common in old Vine-era meme edits, so it lands fast and gets the joke across immediately. Creators use it to underline a fall, a failed stunt, an object drop, or any moment that needs a blunt impact sound. Because it is under a second long, it works well as a quick comedic accent without covering up too much of the original video audio.

This sound is best known online as a brief impact effect in Vine-style meme editing rather than as a clearly credited quote or soundtrack clip. It spread through short comedy videos, repost pages, and soundboards where creators needed a fast, blunt hit for slapstick timing. Its staying power comes from how easy it is to drop under a fall, collision, or deadpan visual punchline. In modern edits, it fills a similar role to other short meme impacts such as WTF BOOM! when a scene needs instant emphasis.
