About this sound

A loud exaggerated cartoon-style yell used in meme culture to amplify shock moments, sudden fails, slapstick humor scenes, and chaotic reaction transitions.

This clip is the famous Goofy yell, a long, wobbly cartoon holler that people associate with Goofy taking a sudden fall. It starts with a sharp cry and stretches into a goofy, exaggerated descent sound that instantly makes a scene feel slapstick. Because the yell is so recognizable, it works as a punchline even before the impact happens. Viewers usually read it as a sign that someone is dropping, missing a jump or getting launched off screen in a ridiculous way.

The Goofy yell is widely recognized as a classic vocal fall gag tied to Disney's Goofy character and his clumsy on-screen persona. Online, the clip spread through meme edits, fail compilations and short-form videos where a character drops from a platform or gets knocked away. Its staying power comes from how quickly it signals cartoon disaster without needing dialogue. Even outside Disney context, creators use it as a shorthand for any dramatic, silly fall or launch.
