About this sound

A dramatic zombie voice warns that the undead are coming, followed by a drawn-out brains-style groan. Used in horror memes, gaming edits, and jump scares.

This short vocal clip delivers an exaggerated warning that zombies are on their way, with the familiar drawn-out delivery associated with cartoonish undead characters and “brains” jokes. The performance sounds more playful and theatrical than genuinely frightening, making it suitable for comedy as well as light horror. Its four-second length gives editors enough time to build anticipation before revealing a costume, game enemy, chaotic crowd, or Halloween scene. The stretched pronunciation adds urgency while keeping the moment absurd, helping an otherwise ordinary entrance feel like the start of a zombie invasion.

The exact production source and original performer of this recording are not confirmed. It belongs to a long-running style of online zombie audio built around alarmed warnings, shambling attackers, and exaggerated references to brains. Short clips like this circulate through horror edits, gaming videos, Halloween posts, and reaction memes because the premise is immediately recognizable without additional context. The audio remains useful for creators because it can signal an incoming threat while still sounding deliberately silly rather than intensely graphic or frightening.
