About this sound

A viral remix of Taylor Swift’s I Knew You Were Trouble that replaces a climactic vocal with a screaming goat, perfect for fails and sudden reactions.

The Taylor Swift Trouble Goat Remix combines a section of I Knew You Were Trouble with an abrupt, loud goat scream. The animal cry lands where the song reaches an intense vocal moment, turning the dramatic buildup into an absurd punchline. Its sharp contrast between polished pop production and the rough bleat makes the joke immediately recognizable, even without visuals. Creators use the clip to exaggerate shock, pain, frustration, or a sudden loss of composure, especially when a calm setup ends in an embarrassing mistake or chaotic reveal.

The remix is based on Taylor Swift’s 2012 song I Knew You Were Trouble from the album Red. In 2013, online edits pairing the track’s forceful chorus vocal with footage and audio of a screaming goat spread widely through video platforms and social media. The format became one of the best-known screaming-animal music parodies of that period. It remains useful because the song creates a serious emotional buildup while the goat sound delivers a brief, unmistakable comic interruption.
