About this sound

The quick coin pickup sound from Subway Surfers, heard while collecting coins during a run and used in edits to mark rewards, gains, or rapid progress.

This brief effect is the bright, metallic chime heard when a player picks up a coin in Subway Surfers. Lasting well under a second, it has a crisp arcade sparkle that instantly signals a small reward. Because the game plays the cue repeatedly across lines of coins, the sound is closely associated with fast movement and accumulating currency. In videos, a single hit can punctuate a successful choice, while several copies in quick succession can make a tally, shopping haul, or point-scoring sequence feel playful and game-like.

Subway Surfers was released in 2012 by Kiloo and SYBO Games as an endless-runner mobile game. Coins line the tracks and produce this compact audio cue when collected, making it one of the game's frequently heard effects. As gameplay videos, short-form edits, and mobile gaming memes spread online, the chime became useful outside its original context as shorthand for earning or gathering something. It remains recognizable because its immediate reward feedback works even in very short edits and can be repeated to match several on-screen items.
