About this sound

The classic announcer clip saying Sub-Zero wins from Mortal Kombat, used in gaming edits, victory memes and match highlight videos.

This sound is the famous victory announcement for Sub-Zero, delivered in the deep, dramatic voice associated with Mortal Kombat round endings. It is short, punchy and instantly readable, with a hard stop that makes any win feel bigger and more final. Creators use it to underline a clean finish, a clutch play or a cold comeback. Even outside fighting game clips, it adds a competitive arcade tone that signals someone just dominated the moment.

This line is associated with the Mortal Kombat series, where an announcer calls out the winning character at the end of a match. Sub-Zero is one of the franchise's most recognizable fighters, so this specific win call became a popular standalone clip in gaming culture. It spread through combo videos, arcade nostalgia posts and meme edits, often alongside other iconic Mortal Kombat audio like Fatality. The sound still gets used because it delivers instant context: somebody won, and they won with style.
