About this sound

A rapid triple-slap and spike hit sound from the Speedrunner Mario custom character in Rivals of Aether, used for combo edits and funny impact clips.

This clip packs a fast sequence of three sharp slaps followed by a heavier finishing hit. It comes from Speedrunner Mario, a custom Workshop character in Rivals of Aether, so it has that exaggerated fighting-game feel with a clean comedic rhythm. The quick buildup makes the final impact land harder, which is why it works so well in montages, combo memes, and sudden payoff moments. Even without dialogue, the timing tells the joke for you: repeated smacks, then one last emphatic spike that makes the whole bit feel over the top.

This sound is associated with Speedrunner Mario, a custom Workshop character for Rivals of Aether. Online, creators use it less as a quote and more as a compact impact sequence: three fast hits and a stronger closer. That structure makes it useful for gameplay montages, joke edits, and short reaction memes where a visual needs a rising sense of punishment before the final payoff. Its appeal comes from how readable the rhythm is, especially in fighting-game clips where each hit lines up cleanly with on-screen action.
