About this sound

Viral prank-style shout used when reversing expectations in meme videos, fake-outs, and sudden punchlines, popular in TikTok reactions and comedic short-form content.

This sound is a short voice clip of someone stretching out the word “sike” into a dramatic “sikeeee.” It has a teasing, got-you tone that instantly flips the mood from serious to playful. Creators use it right after a fake promise, misleading caption, or prank setup to reveal the joke. Because the delivery is so drawn out, it lands harder than a quick spoken “psych” and gives videos a smug, punchline-style finish that viewers immediately understand as a fake-out.

“Sike” or “psych” has long been used in spoken slang to mean a joke, fake-out, or quick reversal after saying something misleading on purpose. Online, stretched versions like “sikeee” became popular in short meme edits, reaction videos, and prank clips because the drawn-out delivery makes the punchline clearer. The sound stays useful because it is simple, instantly understood, and easy to drop after almost any setup where the creator wants to signal, “I was kidding.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Sikeee sound?

It is a short reaction clip of someone saying “sikeeee” in an exaggerated way. Editors use it to reveal that a statement, promise, or setup was not serious and was meant as a joke or fake-out.

Is “sikeee” the same as “psych”?

Yes, it is basically the same idea in meme form. Both mean the speaker is taking back what they just said or revealing a prank, but “sikeee” is stretched out for a more dramatic comedic effect.

When should I use the Sikeee sound in a video?

Use it right after the moment of reversal, such as a prank reveal, bait caption, fake announcement, or punchline cut. It works best when viewers first believe the setup for a second before the clip flips the meaning.
