About this sound

A short Shooting Stars meme clip pairing Bag Raiders' dreamy electronic track with Minecraft villagers, used for surreal falls and chaotic video edits.

This nine-second music clip combines the recognizable electronic pulse of “Shooting Stars” with the absurd humor associated with Minecraft villagers. Its bright synths and rising, weightless feel make an ordinary character movement seem strangely dramatic, as if the villager is drifting through space or escaping reality. The contrast between blocky villagers and the polished dance track creates a playful, surreal mood. In videos, it works as a quick punchline for falls, launches, sudden movement, physics glitches, or moments that become unexpectedly cinematic.

“Shooting Stars” is a song by Australian electronic duo Bag Raiders, first released in 2008 and later included on their 2010 debut album. Years afterward, its floating synth hook became closely associated with internet edits showing people or characters tumbling through surreal backgrounds. Minecraft creators adapted that format for blocky falls, launches, and animation glitches, including edits centered on villagers. The combination remains recognizable because the upbeat music transforms simple movement into an exaggerated journey through space.
