About this sound

A short scary laughing sound effect with an unknown source, featuring sinister laughter for horror edits, jump scares, villain reveals, and creepy memes.

This clip contains several seconds of unsettling laughter shaped like a classic horror sound effect. The laugh feels sinister and theatrical, making it suitable for moments when a character reveals bad intentions, a harmless scene suddenly turns disturbing, or an edit needs a creepy final beat. Its compact length lets the tension arrive quickly without interrupting the pace of a video. Depending on the surrounding visuals, the sound can create genuine unease or add exaggerated, playful menace to a dark joke, reaction, or spooky meme.

The specific recording source and performer are not identified. Online, short scary laughter clips are commonly treated as reusable horror effects rather than quotes tied to a particular film or character. Creators place them in reaction videos, seasonal edits, gaming moments, and dark comedy posts to signal danger or exaggerated villainy. This clip remains useful because its brief duration delivers an immediate mood change, while the familiar sound of ominous laughter is understandable without dialogue or additional context.
