Creators use it for sneaking scenes, low-stakes chase jokes, avatar edits, and videos that need a clean, cartoony movement sound without too much background noise.

It spread through short edits, comparison videos, and nostalgic posts where players discuss movement audio changes in Roblox. Searches like "did Roblox change the walking sound" show that part of its appeal is recognition and nostalgia, not just the effect itself. Even outside Roblox videos, creators use it as a quick shorthand for blocky movement, awkward sneaking, or a simple game-style walk cycle.
