About this sound

The classic Meep Meep sound from Road Runner, used in Looney Tunes clips, fast chase edits, and memes when someone escapes or speeds past.

This clip is the Road Runner's famous “meep meep” call, delivered as a quick, bright burst that feels playful and impossibly fast. Even though it lasts less than a second, it instantly suggests a cartoon getaway, a blink-and-you-miss-it exit, or someone slipping out before anyone can react. The sound has a clean, high-pitched character that cuts through dialogue and music, which makes it useful in short edits. Viewers usually read it as a visual punchline for speed, dodging trouble, or leaving another person behind.

The “Meep Meep” call is associated with Road Runner from the Looney Tunes animated shorts, where it became the character’s signature sound during chase scenes with Wile E. Coyote. Online, the clip spread far beyond the cartoons because it communicates speed in under a second. Creators still use it in memes, reaction edits, and fail videos whenever someone bolts, sneaks away, or leaves another character behind before the joke can catch up.
