About this sound

Ren's sinister laugh from The Ren & Stimpy Show, used in edits, reaction clips and prank videos when a plan turns mean, chaotic or obviously cursed.

This clip captures Ren's unmistakably nasty laugh from The Ren & Stimpy Show. It starts with a sharp, scheming cackle and carries that unhinged cartoon energy Ren is known for, sounding equal parts smug, creepy and ridiculous. The laugh works because it instantly tells viewers that something bad, petty or wildly overdramatic is about to happen. In short edits, it adds a classic cartoon villain vibe without feeling too serious, which is why people use it for betrayals, cursed reveals and moments of fake evil genius.

This sound is associated with Ren from The Ren & Stimpy Show, the offbeat animated TV series that became known for extreme expressions and chaotic voice acting in the 1990s. Ren's laugh spread online because it perfectly fits edits where someone acts malicious, smug or absurdly dramatic. It still gets used in meme videos and reaction clips because the performance is instantly recognizable, short enough for quick cuts, and strong at turning a normal moment into exaggerated cartoon villain energy.
