About this sound

Portuguese parody clip of Ruca's dad saying a rude goodbye, taken from the Kesyn and Skelter dub and used as a blunt farewell reaction in memes.

This short Portuguese voice clip features the father from Ruca, the Portuguese version of Caillou, delivering a very rude farewell in a parody dub. The line starts like an ordinary goodbye before the swearing lands as the punchline, which makes the delivery feel abrupt, annoyed and instantly funny to Portuguese listeners. Because the tone is cheerful cartoon dialogue mixed with adult language, the contrast is what sells the joke. Creators use it when a character or friend leaves a scene, gets kicked out, or ends a conversation with no politeness left at all.

Ruca is the Portuguese version of the children's cartoon Caillou, and its dubbed parody clips have long circulated among Portuguese-speaking viewers online. This farewell line comes from material associated with the Kesyn and Skelter YouTube channel, which revoiced familiar cartoon scenes with heavy slang and swearing. The humour depends on hearing a parent from a gentle preschool show speak like a frustrated adult. Short, rude exchanges like this were later shared as WhatsApp audios, reaction clips and soundboard buttons for everyday goodbyes.
