About this sound

Baldi says "Oh hi, welcome to my schoolhouse" from Baldi's Basics. People use this game quote in memes, edits and nostalgic joke intros.

This clip features Baldi's upbeat greeting, "Oh hi, welcome to my schoolhouse," delivered in the deliberately awkward, cheerful voice from Baldi's Basics. The line has a slightly uncanny, low-budget classroom vibe that instantly signals the game's odd humor. It works well as a fake-friendly introduction before something stressful, weird or chaotic happens on screen. Because the quote is so recognizable to players and meme fans, it gives videos an ironic setup that feels nostalgic, offbeat and a little unsettling in a funny way.

This quote comes from Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning, the 2018 indie horror parody game by Micah McGonigal, known as Mystman12. Baldi's greeting became one of the most quoted lines from the game as videos, speedruns and reaction clips spread online. The phrase stuck because it sounds welcoming at first, while players know it leads into the game's strange, tense school setting. That contrast keeps it useful in memes, especially for ironic intros and gaming nostalgia edits.
