About this sound

The classic South Park quote "Oh my God, they killed Kenny" used for sudden fails, dark punchlines and over-the-top reaction edits online.

This clip features the famous South Park line, “Oh my God, they killed Kenny,” delivered as a shocked, dramatic reaction. It is short, loud, and instantly recognizable, with the kind of exaggerated alarm that turns an ordinary mistake or abrupt ending into a joke. Creators use it when someone gets eliminated in a game, when a character takes a sudden hit, or when a video cuts to chaos without warning. The sound lands fast and gives a scene a playful, cartoonishly tragic feel rather than a genuinely serious tone.

This quote comes from South Park, the animated TV series that debuted in 1997. “Oh my God, they killed Kenny!” became one of the show's best-known running gags because Kenny frequently died in early episodes, usually followed by “You bastards!” The line spread far beyond the show through remixes, reaction videos, and meme edits, and it still shows up whenever a clip needs an instantly recognizable death joke or exaggerated shock reaction. It remains a staple of internet humor because the setup is simple and the payoff is immediate.
