About this sound

A short ngakak laughing sound, named from the Indonesian slang for bursting out laughing. Often used in memes, reaction edits and chat audio replies.

This clip is a brief laughing reaction commonly labeled ngakak, an Indonesian slang word used when something is extremely funny. The sound comes across as an exaggerated burst of laughter, making it useful for punchlines, awkward fails, and sudden joke reveals. Because it is short and instantly readable, it works well as a reaction insert that tells viewers exactly how to feel. In edits, it adds a playful, contagious energy and can turn even a small visual moment into a stronger comedic beat.

Ngakak is a widely used Indonesian slang term meaning to laugh hard or crack up, so uploads with this title usually refer to a laughing reaction clip rather than a single famous source. Online, these short laugh sounds spread through meme edits, messaging apps, and reposted soundboards because they are easy to drop onto jokes and fails. The appeal is simple: the laugh instantly signals that a moment should be read as funny, making it useful across short videos, chat reactions, and casual edits.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does ngakak mean?

Ngakak is Indonesian slang used when someone is laughing very hard or cracking up. On soundboards and in meme edits, it usually labels a short laughing reaction sound used to emphasize that something is funny.

Is this from a specific meme or show?

Not necessarily. With a title like ngakak, the clip is more often identified by the reaction it represents than by a single confirmed source. It is commonly used as a general laugh sound in edits and chat replies.

How do people use the ngakak sound in videos?

Creators usually place it right after a joke lands, a person makes a silly mistake, or a visual punchline appears. Because the laugh is short and obvious, it works best as a quick reaction cue rather than a long background track.
