About this sound

A meme remix pairing Channing Tatum’s “My name is Jeff” line from 22 Jump Street with Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” for comic training montages.

This short meme edit combines the awkward “My name is Jeff” delivery with the driving energy of “Eye of the Tiger.” The contrast turns a deliberately clumsy introduction into an exaggerated moment of determination and triumph. Its familiar spoken setup catches attention before the music gives the scene a mock-heroic lift. The clip works especially well when an ordinary person attempts something difficult, prepares for a minor challenge, or suddenly acts like the star of an intense training montage. The result feels motivational and ridiculous at the same time.

The spoken joke comes from the 2014 comedy 22 Jump Street, where Channing Tatum’s character, Jenko, delivers “My name is Jeff” while attempting an accent. The line became a widely reused reaction meme and remix sample. “Eye of the Tiger,” recorded by Survivor for the 1982 film Rocky III, is strongly associated with training and determination. Combining the two creates a parody of motivational montage scenes, mixing an intentionally awkward introduction with instantly recognizable cinematic energy. That contrast keeps the edit useful for ironic fitness, challenge, and comeback videos.
