About this sound

A short Mortal Kombat 4 voice clip saying "oh no, my leg". People use it in gaming fails, hit reactions, and sudden injury jokes in memes.

This clip is a very short spoken pain line from Mortal Kombat 4: a dramatic "oh no, my leg" delivered like a quick injury reaction. It lands fast, with a sharp, slightly exaggerated tone that makes even a minor mistake feel instantly worse. Because the line is so brief, creators use it as a punchy button after slips, bad landings, ragdoll hits, or any moment where a character takes damage in a funny way. It gives the scene a sudden burst of cartoonish suffering without taking over the whole edit.

This sound is associated with Mortal Kombat 4, the 3D fighting game released in 1997. Short voice snippets from older games often get clipped into standalone meme audio because they are easy to recognize and easy to place on an impact. Online, this one shows up in fail edits, injury jokes, and retro game compilations where a tiny reaction line can sell the moment. It stays useful because it is extremely short, clearly spoken, and fits almost any visual where someone takes a sudden hit.
