About this sound

The iconic Ninjago intro quote about the First Spinjitzu Master, used in memes, dramatic edits and nostalgic posts for an instantly epic setup.

This sound is the famous opening line from Ninjago: “Long before time had a name...” delivered in a deep, serious narrator voice. It has a grand, mythic tone that immediately makes even a simple clip feel important, ancient or overdramatic. People use it as a meme setup before revealing something trivial, chaotic or unexpectedly emotional. Because the line sounds so formal and cinematic, it works especially well when you want a contrast between epic storytelling and a completely unserious punchline.

This quote comes from the opening narration of LEGO Ninjago, the animated television series that began in 2011. The line introduces the world and the First Spinjitzu Master, so many viewers remember it instantly from the show’s early episodes. Online, it spread beyond the fandom as a meme format for mock-epic storytelling, especially on short video platforms. Its staying power comes from how recognizable and serious it sounds, which makes it perfect for ironic contrast in edits, lore jokes and nostalgic posts.
