About this sound

This Monsters, Inc. quote features Mr. Waternoose declaring he would kidnap a thousand children, a dramatic line used in villain and overreaction memes.

This audio captures Mr. Waternoose delivering part of his furious confession in Monsters, Inc. His deep, forceful voice rises as he declares that he will kidnap a thousand children, making the line sound both threatening and wildly excessive. The clip quickly communicates ruthless determination, especially when paired with an otherwise minor problem or harmless ambition. Its recognizable delivery and abrupt intensity make it effective as a reaction sound for exaggerated schemes, mock villain reveals, escalating arguments, and jokes about someone taking an unreasonable plan far too seriously.

The quote comes from Disney and Pixar's 2001 animated film Monsters, Inc. and is spoken by Henry J. Waternoose III, the company's chief executive. Near the film's climax, Waternoose reveals how far he is willing to go to prevent the business from collapsing, allowing Mike and Sulley to expose him. The forceful delivery and extreme wording later made the scene useful for reaction edits, quote compilations, and memes about ruthless leadership, desperate plans, or comically disproportionate determination.
