About this sound

A short Frieza quote from Dragon Ball where he laughs and says “hello monkeys,” used in anime edits, roast memes and villain-style reaction clips.

This sound is a brief anime voice clip of Frieza giving a smug laugh before saying “hello monkeys.” The delivery is taunting and theatrical, with that cold, superior tone fans associate with the character when insulting Saiyans. Because it opens with laughter, the line lands like a dramatic entrance and immediately makes a clip feel more mocking or villainous. Creators use it when a character shows up to flex, when a group is about to get roasted, or when they want an over-the-top anime reaction with recognizable Dragon Ball energy.

This clip is associated with Frieza from Dragon Ball, a character well known for calling Saiyans “monkeys” in English-language versions and fan edits. Short Frieza lines like this spread through anime meme pages, TikTok-style edits, and reaction videos because the voice instantly signals arrogance and conflict. It remains popular with Dragon Ball fans thanks to how quickly it establishes a villain mood in under four seconds.
