Gotta Sweep comes from Baldi's Basics, the 2018 indie game by Micah McGonigal, also known as mystman12. In the game, Gotta Sweep is the janitor character who slides through the school and pushes the player away. The line became a favorite in gameplay videos, meme edits and short gaming compilations because it signals instant disruption. It still shows up in reaction clips and chaotic gaming posts alongside other recognizable game sounds like the ROBLOX oof, where a familiar audio cue quickly sells the joke.
