About this sound

The iconic El Risitas laughing sound clip, taken from a Spanish TV interview and widely used in memes, reaction edits and absurd subtitle videos.

This clip captures the unmistakable laughing fit of El Risitas, the Spanish comedian famous online for his wheezing, contagious cackle. The sound starts with a burst of laughter and rolls into breathy, escalating giggles that instantly make a moment feel more ridiculous. It works as a reaction audio when something is obviously going wrong, embarrassingly funny, or so absurd that words are not enough. Even without the original video, the laugh alone signals chaos, irony and that kind of humor where the situation has completely fallen apart.

The sound comes from Spanish comedian Juan Joya Borja, better known online as El Risitas, during a television interview clip that later spread widely on YouTube and meme pages. It became especially popular through subtitle memes that replaced the original context with absurd stories about games, tech or workplace disasters. The laugh remains a staple reaction sound because it is instantly recognizable, easy to loop, and carries the same viral energy as Trololo in older internet humor.
