About this sound

A loud flashbang meme combining the Team Fortress 2 Scout’s “Think fast, chucklenuts” line with an explosive blast for white-screen edits and jump scares.

This clip opens with Scout’s sharp warning, “Think fast, chucklenuts,” before erupting into an aggressively loud flashbang blast. The contrast between the cocky setup and the sudden explosion creates an instant jump scare, often reinforced by a full-screen white flash. At just over five seconds, it has enough buildup to make viewers anticipate the hit without dragging out the joke. Its clipped game-character delivery and blown-out impact make it feel chaotic, taunting, and deliberately excessive, ideal for abrupt reversals or surprise interruptions.

The spoken setup is associated with Scout from Valve’s Team Fortress 2, released in 2007. Online editors paired the character’s taunting delivery with an exaggerated flashbang explosion and bright white frame, turning it into a compact bait-and-switch meme. The format spread through gaming videos, short-form edits, reaction posts, and voice-chat pranks because the warning creates just enough anticipation before the blast. It remains useful as a recognizable interruption gag, especially in clips that imitate first-person shooter effects or punish an unsuspecting character.
