Finish Him comes from the Mortal Kombat fighting game series, which debuted in arcades in 1992. In a match, the announcer delivers the command after a player defeats a male opponent, creating a brief opportunity to perform a finishing move known as a Fatality. The phrase became one of the franchise’s most recognizable audio cues. It later spread through gaming videos, reaction edits, remixes, and internet memes because its commanding delivery instantly frames an ordinary moment as a dramatic final confrontation.
