About this sound

A harsh Demogorgon roar from the creature in Stranger Things, used for monster reveals, horror edits, jump scares, and ominous reaction videos.

This short clip captures the threatening creature sound associated with the Demogorgon from Stranger Things. It resembles a harsh roar or screech, with an aggressive, unnatural texture that suggests a large monster closing in. The brief duration makes the sound effective for sudden reveals without interrupting the pace of an edit. Viewers familiar with the series may immediately connect it with danger, the Upside Down, and the show’s horror atmosphere. Even without that context, the noise creates tension and gives an entrance, transformation, or chase scene a more menacing impact.

The Demogorgon entered popular culture through Stranger Things, where it appeared as the central creature threat in the first season, released in 2016. The children named it after a monster from Dungeons & Dragons, although the television creature has its own distinctive appearance and behavior. Short roar and screech clips associated with the character spread through horror edits, fan videos, gaming montages, and reaction posts. The sound remains useful because audiences quickly connect it with an approaching monster and the Upside Down.
