About this sound

A short audio clip associated with Deltarune’s unsettling Weird Route, used in gaming edits, dark punchlines, tense reveals, and ominous reactions.

This brief Deltarune clip evokes the disturbing mood associated with the game’s Weird Route. Its compact length makes it effective as an abrupt cue rather than extended background audio, adding tension or unease without interrupting the pace of an edit. Creators commonly use sounds tied to this route when an apparently harmless scene takes a sinister turn, a character makes a troubling choice, or a gaming joke references an alternate path. The effect is strongest for viewers who recognize the route’s darker tone and contrast with Deltarune’s usual humor.

Deltarune is a role-playing game created by Toby Fox, with its first chapter released in 2018 and Chapter 2 released in 2021. The Weird Route is an alternate progression through Chapter 2, widely called the Snowgrave Route by players, involving Noelle and a series of unusually coercive choices. Clips associated with this path spread through gameplay videos, fan edits, streams, and memes because its unsettling events contrast sharply with the game’s colorful presentation and comedic dialogue. The route remains a recognizable reference within the Deltarune community.
