About this sound

The Ayayayaya Pillar Men sound is a dramatic chant from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, used in memes for transformations, entrances, and escalating chaos.

This nine-second musical clip captures the booming vocal chant associated with the Pillar Men in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Its repeated “ayayayaya” vocals, heavy percussion, and rising intensity create an immediate sense of ancient power and theatrical danger. The sound turns even an ordinary entrance or reveal into an exaggerated anime spectacle, which makes it especially effective in transformation edits and absurd reaction memes. Because the chant is recognizable before the full theme develops, the short excerpt delivers its dramatic effect quickly without requiring a long setup.

The chant comes from music associated with the Pillar Men in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency, the anime arc first broadcast as part of the 2012 television adaptation. It is commonly linked to “Awaken,” a soundtrack piece composed by Taku Iwasaki. Online editors isolated the memorable vocal passage and used it for muscular reveals, intimidating entrances, and escalating situations. Its continued popularity comes from the contrast between the music’s overwhelming grandeur and the often trivial subjects shown on screen.
