About this sound

The short Among Us match intro sound from the game, used in memes, edits and clips to signal a round starting or a suspicious moment.

This clip is the familiar start-of-match audio cue from Among Us, the social deduction game where crewmates and impostors begin each round together. It is short, clean and instantly recognisable to players, with that tense game-start feel that tells you something is about to happen. In edits, it works like a quick setup button: the sound prepares viewers for chaos, suspicion or a challenge, and it lands especially well before a reveal, a fail or a sudden betrayal.

This sound comes from Among Us, the multiplayer social deduction game by Innersloth. The game released in 2018, and its sounds spread widely online during the huge 2020 wave of streams, memes and short-form edits. The start match cue became a handy audio shorthand for a round beginning, hidden roles, or incoming betrayal. Even outside Among Us clips, creators still use it when they want viewers to instantly recognise that a game, test or suspicious scenario is kicking off.
