Vegeta's famous It's Over 9000 shout from Dragon Ball Z, used in memes and edits to react to huge numbers, shocking reveals and unbeatable power levels.

This clip captures Vegeta's explosive scream as he reads Goku's power level, his voice cracking with disbelief before he shouts the now-legendary number. The delivery is frantic, loud and instantly recognisable, with a rising pitch that makes even a mundane statistic feel world-ending. Viewers hear it and immediately expect something absurdly large or powerful to follow, which is why the line lands as both a punchline and a hype moment. It works because the shock is genuine, the number is impossibly high, and the performance is so over the top that it turns exaggeration itself into the joke.

The line comes from Dragon Ball Z, where Vegeta, scanning Goku with his scouter, is stunned to find his rival's power level far beyond what he expected. In the English dub the reading is given as over 9000, and the moment was clipped, remixed and captioned across early video sites and forums. It became shorthand for anything unexpectedly huge, from scores and follower counts to prices, and its exaggerated delivery has kept it in constant use in memes, reaction videos and gaming edits ever since.
