This catchy eurodance lyric became a meme sound for ironic nostalgia edits and chaotic humor moments. Popular in TikTok clips and internet culture remix memes.

This sound is the catchy chorus snippet best known for the line "ay ay ay, I'm your little butterfly." It has a bright eurodance beat, high-pitched vocals and a playful, sugary tone that instantly feels nostalgic to many listeners. Because the hook is so recognizable, creators use it for goofy reveals, old-phone ringtone jokes and deliberately over-the-top cute moments. Even a short clip quickly changes the mood of a video, making ordinary scenes feel cheesy, internet-native and a little absurd in the best way.

This clip comes from "Butterfly" by the Swedish pop group Smile.dk, released in 1998. The song became especially well known online and among rhythm game fans after appearing in Dance Dance Revolution, which helped turn the chorus into a lasting internet reference. Over time, the "butterfly phone song" label also stuck because many people remember it from ringtones, joke edits and short meme videos. Its instantly recognizable hook keeps it popular for nostalgic, playful and intentionally cheesy posts.
