이 사운드에 대하여

A quick record scratch sound effect that mimics a DJ stopping vinyl. People use it for awkward pauses, sudden interruptions and comedy edits.

This clip is a short disc scratch, the classic record-scrape sound associated with a DJ abruptly dragging or stopping a vinyl record. It has a sharp, squealing texture and instantly signals that something has gone wrong, changed direction or become awkward. In edits, it works like a comedic brake pedal, cutting off the flow for emphasis. Because the sound is so familiar, viewers immediately read it as a punchline cue, a sudden interruption or a freeze-frame style moment where the joke needs an extra beat.

The disc scratch sound comes from the sound of a vinyl record being manually scratched or abruptly stopped on a turntable, a technique closely associated with DJs and hip-hop culture. Over time, that real audio cue became a stock comedy effect in radio, television, and internet videos. Online, it is widely used to mark an awkward pause, a sudden reversal, or a joke that needs an instant stop. Its meaning is so established that even a very short scratch is enough to signal comedic interruption.
