このサウンドについて

The game over sound from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, used in fail edits, death compilations, and funny moments when a run ends badly.

This clip is the game over cue from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the short musical sting that plays when the player loses and has to start again. It has the familiar bright Mario style, but the melody lands with a small sense of defeat that instantly tells viewers the attempt is over. In videos, it works as a clean punchline for mistakes, missed jumps, unlucky endings, or any moment where progress suddenly collapses in a funny or frustrating way.

This sound comes from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Nintendo's side scrolling platform game released for the Wii in 2009. The game over cue became familiar to players through repeated failed attempts, then spread into gaming edits and meme style videos as a shorthand for losing. It still gets used because the Mario series is instantly recognizable and the short cue communicates failure without needing any extra context, especially in clips built around sudden mistakes or run ending moments.
