The Toronto TTC announcement for Line 2 towards Kennedy station, heard on the Bloor-Danforth route and used in transit, travel and city videos.

This short clip captures the automated station announcement for a Toronto subway train heading east on Line 2 towards Kennedy, the eastern terminus of the Bloor-Danforth line. A calm, neutral recorded voice states the line and destination clearly over the low rumble and movement of the train, giving it an authentic underground feel. It instantly places a listener inside a TTC car travelling under Danforth Avenue and Bloor Street, so it works as a realistic sense of place rather than a dramatic effect. The familiar, matter-of-fact tone makes a scene feel grounded, everyday and unmistakably Toronto.

The clip comes from Toronto's Line 2, the Bloor-Danforth subway route operated by the TTC, which runs east-west across the city with Kennedy as its eastern terminus. The announcement heard here is the kind played inside trains to confirm the direction of travel, in this case eastbound under Danforth Avenue and Bloor Street. Short transit announcements like this are shared online by riders and creators because they are instantly recognisable to Torontonians and add authentic local detail to videos about the city.
