このサウンドについて

A fast electronic reworking of Beethoven’s Pathétique Sonata by BanYa, known from Pump It Up and used in memes, rhythm-game edits, and dramatic videos.

Beethoven Virus is a high-speed electronic track built around a familiar melody from the third movement of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 8, commonly called the Pathétique Sonata. The arrangement drives the classical theme forward with pounding dance beats, bright synthesizers, and rapid rhythmic changes. Its combination of recognizable classical music and arcade intensity creates an urgent, theatrical mood. In videos, the track can make difficult gameplay, frantic movement, escalating chaos, or an unexpectedly serious moment feel faster and more dramatic, while its rhythm-game association adds a nostalgic arcade flavor.

Beethoven Virus was created by the South Korean music production group BanYa for the Pump It Up dance rhythm-game series. The composition reworks material from the final movement of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 8 in C minor, the Pathétique. Its arcade exposure helped introduce the energetic arrangement to rhythm-game audiences, while online videos and memes carried it into wider editing culture. The contrast between a famous classical melody and intense electronic dance production keeps it useful for fast, difficult, or deliberately overdramatic scenes.
