Jay-Z's Public Service Announcement intro with the My Name Is Hov line, from The Black Album. Used for confident entrances, reveals and highlight reels.

This clip opens Jay-Z's Public Service Announcement with a swaggering spoken intro over a sparse, hard-hitting beat, before he delivers the famous My Name Is Hov declaration. His voice is calm, assured and deliberately paced, letting each word land before the production kicks in behind him. It sounds like a star walking into a room and announcing himself, which is why it instantly raises the energy of a scene and makes an entrance, a comeback or a big play feel larger than life.

Public Service Announcement appeared on Jay-Z's 2003 album The Black Album, which he presented at the time as his final studio record. Its opening, in which he reintroduces himself as Hov, became one of his most quoted moments and was widely sampled and referenced in hip-hop culture. Short clips of the intro later circulated on video platforms and soundboards, where editors use it as a shorthand for confidence, status and a dramatic return.
