このサウンドについて

The classic ICQ notification sound, best known for its short "uh oh" voice clip from the early messaging app, often used in memes and chat jokes.

This sound is the famous ICQ message alert: a brief electronic cue followed by a clear voice saying "uh oh." It is short, instantly recognisable, and strongly tied to early internet chat culture. The clip has a playful, slightly awkward tone that makes it work well as a punchline for missed messages, embarrassing reveals, or sudden online drama. Because it is so quick and familiar, it lands fast in edits and memes without taking over the whole moment, giving viewers an immediate nostalgia hit.

The ICQ alert comes from ICQ, one of the best known instant messaging programs of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Its "uh oh" notification became one of the most recognisable chat sounds of the early web. Long after ICQ's peak, the clip kept circulating in compilations, meme edits, and nostalgic internet posts because it instantly signals online messaging. People still use it to reference old desktop chat culture, unexpected messages, or a suddenly awkward conversation.
