このサウンドについて

A brief “drinking outta cups” voice clip from the cult animated lizard video, used to punctuate absurd confidence, random boasts, and surreal edits.

This short voice clip captures the signature phrase from Drinking Out of Cups, the surreal animated video built around a rambling, confrontational monologue. The speaker delivers “drinking outta cups” with blunt confidence and an oddly memorable cadence. Even without the full rant, the line carries the original video’s mix of nonsense, irritation, and swagger. Editors use it as a quick punchline when someone acts self-important, rejects an ordinary choice, or makes an inexplicably strong statement. Its abrupt delivery also suits intentionally strange transitions and throwback internet-meme compilations.

Drinking Out of Cups originated in a 2006 viral video created by filmmaker and musician Liam Lynch. It pairs a computer-animated lizard with Lynch’s improvised character monologue, including disconnected boasts, complaints, and the title phrase. The video circulated widely through early online sharing and became a recognizable piece of internet culture. Individual lines later spread as reaction clips and soundboard samples because their sharp delivery works without much context. The phrase remains useful in nostalgic meme edits, absurdist videos, and jokes involving drinks or exaggerated confidence.
