このサウンドについて

✦ AI

A long 'bluurrr' raspberry sound, like a sputtering motorboat. Creators drop it over flubbed takes, failed stunts and dull moments for instant comic deflation.

This clip is a single, drawn-out raspberry: roughly nineteen seconds of loose lips sputtering in a rolling 'bluurrr' that wobbles, splutters and trails off like a deflating balloon or a bored motorboat engine. The tone is deliberately crude and goofy rather than harsh, landing somewhere between a Bronx cheer and a kid blowing spit bubbles. Played over a video it instantly undercuts whatever is happening on screen, turning a dramatic pause, a failed trick or a smug moment into a joke. The humour comes from the contrast, the wet, wobbly noise mocking whatever it lands on.

No confirmed origin exists for this upload, so its history is really the history of the raspberry itself: the Bronx cheer has mocked bad performances since the early 1900s, and the blowing-lips gag travelled from vaudeville into cartoons and meme culture. On soundboards the clip sits alongside other comedy staples like sad trombone and sitcom laugh, a quick way to brand any moment a flop. Its nineteen-second length makes it a favourite for stretching a joke across a slow-motion fail.

What does the Bluurrr sound sound like?

It is a long, wobbling raspberry made by blowing loose lips, like a sputtering motorboat or a deflating balloon. The nineteen-second clip splutters and trails off, sounding deliberately crude and goofy rather than aggressive.

Where did the Bluurrr sound come from?

The upload has no documented source, so treat its origin as unknown. The raspberry gag itself is much older, the Bronx cheer mocking bad performances since the early 1900s, and the sound has since become a staple of cartoons and meme edits.

How do creators use the Bluurrr sound in edits?

They drop it over fails, flubbed takes and dull pauses to undercut the moment with comedy. It works best when timed to the exact point of failure, stretched across a slow-motion clip, or paired with an awkward silence.
