حول هذا الصوت

The viral auditory illusion where some listeners hear “brainstorm” and others hear “green needle,” often used in reaction videos and meme edits.

This clip is the famous auditory illusion that seems to say either “brainstorm” or “green needle” depending on what word you expect to hear. The voice is short, buzzy and slightly robotic, which makes the syllables feel ambiguous and easy for your brain to reinterpret. That split-second switch is what makes the sound so satisfying in memes and reactions. People use it to show how suggestion changes perception, to surprise viewers who hear the wrong phrase first, or to set up comments arguing over which version is real.

This sound became widely viral online in 2018 as people shared the auditory illusion and argued over which phrase they heard. It is commonly associated with a clip labeled “Brainstorm” that listeners also perceived as “green needle,” helping it spread across social platforms, reaction channels and repost pages. Its staying power comes from how easy it is to demonstrate: play the same audio twice, change the caption, and many people suddenly hear a different phrase. That simple, repeatable effect keeps the meme relevant years later.

الأسئلة الشائعة

What is the Brainstorm Green Needle sound?

It is a short auditory illusion clip where the same audio can seem to say either “brainstorm” or “green needle.” What many people hear changes based on expectation, captions, or which word they are focusing on before playback.

Why do people hear different words in this clip?

The sound is ambiguous enough that the brain can lock onto different syllables. When viewers read or think of one phrase first, their perception often shifts toward that version, which is why the clip became a popular demonstration of suggestion.

How do creators usually use the Brainstorm Green Needle audio?

Creators often pair it with on-screen prompts, polls, or reaction shots to show the illusion in action. It works especially well in short videos where the audio is replayed with different captions so viewers can compare what they hear each time.
