The classic Winamp startup voice clip saying "It really whips the llama's ass," widely used in retro tech edits, nostalgic memes and old internet jokes.

This sound is the short spoken intro made famous by the Winamp media player: a deep, punchy voice declaring, "It really whips the llama's ass." The clip is brief, clean and instantly recognizable to anyone who used MP3 software in the late 1990s and 2000s. It lands with a mix of confidence, absurdity and early-internet humor, which is why creators still use it for retro computer jokes, throwback edits and punchline reveals about old digital culture.

This clip is best known as the Winamp intro line and is credited in release metadata to DJ Mike Llama as "Llama Whippin' Intro." Winamp was one of the most popular desktop media players of the late 1990s and 2000s, and the phrase became part of its identity. The line spread through MP3 culture, software nostalgia and meme compilations, so it is still used whenever people reference old-school desktop customization, classic media players or chaotic early web humor.
