Short 1970s sports vignette from Rádio Globo, a brassy radio jingle used to open broadcasts, now dropped into edits for retro football moments.

This is a brief 1970s sports vignette from Rádio Globo, lasting just under five seconds. It sounds like a classic radio ident, with a punchy brass-led fanfare and an energetic, announcer-style lift that signals a broadcast is starting. The tone is bright, urgent and nostalgic, instantly evoking old Brazilian football coverage on the radio. Played over modern footage, it creates a deliberate clash between eras, making an ordinary play feel like a historic moment being introduced live to listeners across the country with ceremony and excitement.

Rádio Globo was one of Brazil's major radio networks, and in the 1970s its sports coverage relied on short musical vignettes to mark the start of transmissions and separate segments. This second sports vignette survives from that era of AM radio, when a few seconds of brass had to be instantly recognisable over crowd cheering and commentary. Shared online as an MP3, it now circulates among football editors and nostalgia pages who use its unmistakable broadcast cue to frame clips as if they were historic radio moments.
