Josep Lluís Núñez saying his famous Catalan line Això és gravíssim, eh, the FC Barcelona president quote used as a dramatic reaction sound effect.

This is former FC Barcelona president Josep Lluís Núñez delivering his best known Catalan catchphrase, Això és gravíssim, eh, with a stern, almost scolding tone. The line translates roughly to this is extremely serious, and the clipped delivery makes a minor complaint sound like a major scandal. His serious expression and formal manner contrast with how trivial the situations are where people now use it, which is exactly why it lands as comedy. It works as an instant exaggeration button for anything that feels, or pretends to feel, unforgivably serious.

Josep Lluís Núñez was president of FC Barcelona from 1978 to 2000, the longest serving president in the club's history, and his public speeches gave Catalan television plenty of memorable lines. Això és gravíssim became his signature complaint, repeated for years by impersonators on TV3 programmes and in everyday jokes across Catalonia. Because the phrase needs no context, it survived the move to forums, WhatsApp groups and short video edits, where Barça fans and non fans alike use it whenever a situation is treated as far more dramatic than it really is.
