Murray Walker calls the Senna and Prost crash at turn one of the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, a classic Formula 1 commentary clip for racing edits.

This four-second clip captures legendary Formula 1 commentator Murray Walker reacting live as Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost collide at the first corner of the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. His voice rises sharply over the roar of the engines, turning a split-second crash into a moment of pure disbelief and drama. The urgency in his delivery makes the incident feel even more shocking, which is why the audio works so well as a punchline or turning point in a video. Even listeners who know nothing about Formula 1 can feel the chaos and excitement in his voice.

The clip comes from BBC television coverage of the 1990 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, where Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost crashed together at the first corner. The collision settled the drivers' championship in Senna's favour and became one of Formula 1's most famous incidents, largely because the two title rivals had also collided at Suzuka the year before. Murray Walker's excited live commentary helped turn the moment into a lasting piece of racing folklore, and Formula 1 fans still share the short audio to mark dramatic crashes, rivalries and title-deciding collisions.
