Short sports voice clip referencing college football coach Mike Leach, used in football edits, rivalry banter and tribute posts about his coaching legacy.

This is a two-second spoken sports clip built around the name of Mike Leach, the famously eccentric college football head coach. The audio is a quick vocal name-drop of the coach framed by the words last week, delivered in the flat, conversational cadence of sports commentary or interview audio. It lands as an in-joke for college football fans who remember Leach's rambling press conferences and pirate-obsessed persona. Dropped into an edit, it adds instant football-culture credibility, a wink of nostalgia and a slightly absurd punchline, especially for viewers who know exactly how quotable he was.

Mike Leach was the head coach at Texas Tech, Washington State and Mississippi State, famous for pioneering the Air Raid offense and for wildly entertaining press conferences about pirates, weddings and candy corn before his death in December 2022. The exact recording behind this two-second board clip is undocumented, but it circulates the way sports radio drops and crowd cheering beds do, as quick flavor for fan edits alongside stadium chants. College football creators keep his voice in rotation because few coaches were ever as quotable.
